Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file must be in Microsoft Word file format.(doc. atau docx.)
  • A reference management application (eg. Mendeley or Zotero) should be used when citing references and creating bibliographies in manuscripts. Articles that are not submitted for reference using the reference application cannot continue the publication process.
  • Manuscript is written in A4 size paper with margin in all sides are 2.5 cm and the distance between the line is 1.15 pt. Font used in manuscript is Times New Roman with font size 12. Tables, charts, graphs, pictures, photos have to be uploaded in separate documents from the manuscript with the information where to those tables, charts, graphs, pictures, photos in the manuscript.
  • Tables, charts, graphs, pictures, photos are uploaded in separate documents from the manuscript. Tables, charts, graphs, pictures, photos must be made clear, neat and informative. The table titles are placed above the table. The title for charts, graphics, pictures and photos are placed below. Tables, charts, graphs, pictures and photos should be in form of portable document format (.doc), (.docx), (.pdf), photoshop (.psd), PNG (png), or JPG (.jpg). All images should be uploaded in at least 300dpi.
  • Clearly stated conflict of interest or potential financial conflict, or external funding sources if there is any

Author Guidelines

Majalah Anestesia & Critical Care (MACC) operates a double-blind review process. MACC receives articles related to anesthesia and intensive care topics. Articles can be in the form of research (original articles), case reports, or reviews. Articles submitted in this journal are not for commercial purposes. We encourage all authors to consistently follow the guideline listed below:

  1. Cover letter for article publication addressed to editor in chief of MACC.
  2. Title of article has to be written in both Indonesian and English languages. Title should not exceed 50 characters.
  3. Author’s name without title along with information about email address and working place listed for each author.
  4. Articles submitted in this journal have not been published in any other journal.
  5. Authors clearly state if there is any conflict of interest or potential financial conflict or external funding sources.
  6. Management reference application Mendeley or Zotero should be used when citing a reference and creating the bibliography in the article.
  7. Authors have to use International Systems of Units (SI) measurement and measurements should be abbreviated.

Abstracts and Keywords

Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English languages with maximum of 250 words for all types of articles. Abstract for research articles must include Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions. Abstract for case report must include Background, Case Presentation, and Conclusions. Abstract for reviews must include Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Please minimize the use of abbreviations. Abbreviations use in the abstract must be spelled out and repeated when it first mention in the main article.

Keywords can be written in minimum 3 to maximum 5 words representing the main content of the article. If possible, please use MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) words for keywords

Articles

Article is written in A4 size paper with margin in all sides are 2.5 cm and the distance between the line is 1.15 pt. Font used in artikel is Times New Roman with font size 12.

  1. The script format for the research articles (original articles) consists of: introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusions and references
  2. The script format for case reports consist of: introduction, case, discussion, conclusion, and references
  3. The script format for reviews consist of introduction, what is reviewed / discussion and a summary of the results of the study, and references

Ethical Clearance

Article reporting studies involving human and animal participants, human data or human tissue must include a statement on ethics approval and consent. The authors must also state the name of the ethics committee that approved the study and the approval number.

Tables, Charts, Graphics, Pictures and Photos

Tables, charts, graphs, pictures and photos have to be uploaded in separate documents from the manuscript. Tables, charts, graphs, pictures, photos must be made clear, neat and informative. The table titles are placed above the table. The title for charts, graphics, pictures and photos are placed below. Tables, charts, graphs, pictures and photos should be in form of portable document format (.doc), (.docx), (.pdf), photoshop (.psd), PNG (png), or JPG (.jpg). All images should be uploaded in at least 300dpi.

Reference and Bibliography

Text references are based on the Vancouver format with numbers in the order in which they appear, numbers written above (superscript) without parentheses after punctuation. Authors must use management reference applications such as Mendeley or Zotero in writing citations and references.

Copyright Notice

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, the copyright of the article shall be assigned to Majalah Anestesia & Critical Care (MACC) as the publisher of the journal. Copyright encompasses exclusive rights to reproduce and deliver the article in all forms and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, and any other similar reproductions, as well as translations.

The Editors of MACC make every effort to ensure that no wrong or misleading data, opinions, or statements be published in the journal. In any way, the contents of the articles and advertisements published in Majalah Anestesia & Critical Care (MACC) are the sole and exclusive responsibility of their respective authors and advertisers.

Articles

Keywords can be written in minimum 3 to maximum 5 words representing the main content of the article. The script format for the research articles (original articles) consists of: introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and bibliography. The authors must also state the name of the ethics committee that approved the study and the approval number.

Case Report

Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English languages with maximum of 300 words. Abstract for case report must include Background, Case Presentation, and Conclusions. Keywords can be written in minimum 3 to maximum 10 words representing the main content of the article. The script format for case reports consist of: introduction, case, discussion, conclusion, and bibliography. Patient identity must be kept confidential throughout the article. All images consist patient face must be made covered in certain part to keep patient identity unknown.

Review

Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English languages with maximum of 300 words. Abstract for reviews must include Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Keywords can be written in minimum 3 to maximum 5 words representing the main content of the article. The script format for review consist of introduction, what is reviewed / discussion and a summary of the results of the study, and bibliography.

The names and email addresses entered into this journal site will be used solely for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available to any other party.
